Dingo State School is situated in the township of Dingo, in the Central Highlands region. The school is situated on the corner of Kennedy and Normanby streets and was founded in 1876.  In 2006, the  Prep year was introduced and in 2016 we inncororated a highly successful Remote Kindy program.  At present we have close to 60 students attending our school,  in three classrooms:- KP1, 2/3 and 4-6. We are very proud of the qualilty of education we provide for our close-knit community.

The school’s administration building reflects its heritage past. The teaching amenities include two modern, double classrooms as well as additional library and learning facilities in the main administration block. The school’s design reflects the demands of the local climate, providing large undercover play and activity areas. All of the buildings are high set to allow cooling winds passage beneath the buildings. Many large trees are located within the school grounds, providing shade and shelter for the students.
